Today's show begins with extra footage of events at the Pit Stop and
Brooke/Scott trying to make amends to their alliance partners including
London/Logan. Alliance partners?!?

At 759am Becca/Floyd aka Team Funstopable, open their clue and they are
off to Nihn Bihn via bus. Famous for its coarse topography, $30 are
given for this leg of the race.

The first bus leaves at 9am and Becca/Floyd, Matt/Redmond are on it.
Tara/Joey leave the Pit Stop at 847am.

The second bus leaves at 930am. The other 3 teams are on it.

Route Info : Teams must bicycle to Bich Dong Temple where they must pick
up the Travelocity Roaming Gnome who will join them for the rest of the
leg. This is where Tara/Joey will hit their Speed Bump.

After finding their gnome, teams must proceed to Thon Hai Nham and
search for their next clue.

The 2nd bus is stuck in traffic.

RoadBlock - Basket Case

A team member must ride a bike carrying a large number of baskets. This
is a repeat of an event from season 3 in which Flo famously had one of
her meltdowns.

The 2nd bus arrives.

Matt and Floyd leave on the bikes but Floyd dropped some baskets upon
leaving. Becca can not tell him and he continues to drop baskets along
the way. Matt's not having any problems.

Of the 2nd bus teams Tara/Joey arrive at the temple first and are told
of their Speed Bump challenge - Empty Nest. Collect 6 dozen eggs.

Matt arrives with his all of his baskets and receives his next clue. He
peddles back and notices Floyd has dropped a bunch of baskets.

Den Thai Vi - Ben Thanh is where Matt/Redmond are off to.

Tara/Joey start collecting their eggs. Floyd is told he must start all over!

Tara/Joey have finished collecting their eggs but are still in last place.

Route Info - Row Your Boat

Either team member must row a boat using only their legs and deliver
offering to a ceremonial dragon boat. As Redmond only has one foot, Matt
rows the boat.

Brooke/Scott arrive at the basket challenge in 4th. Tara/Joey may be lost.

After dropping off their offering Matt/Redmond must do a lil more rowing.

Scott drops off his baskets.

Hang Mua Peak is the Pit Stop for Matt/Redmond. Brooke/Scott are
currently in second.

Floyd helps London as she rides her bike.

Tara/Joey finally arrive at the Road Block.

Floyd and or London has lost a basket. It was Floyd. London had her
baskets and so did Joey,

London's bike breaks down, Joey passes her. Floyd takes a break.

In what may be a TAR first, Phil tells Matt/Redmond they are team #1 and
they're not on the Pit Stop yet.

Floyd finds his missing basket and with some help completes his Road
Block but is exhausted.

Brooke/Scott are in 2nd after the rowing task. Floyd continues to break
down physically.

Brooke is not happy about climbing stairs to the Pit Stop but when was
she ever happy? She is when they show up in 2nd place.

Floyd overheats and Becca cries.

Tara/joey overcome the Speed Bump to come in 3rd. London/Logan in 4th.

Floyd cannot complete the ride to the Pit Stop and Phil must come out to
eliminate them. Future All-Star team y'all.

On the next Amazing Race...teams fight it out in Seoul

In Bamboo Climb teams must pick up one of 3 marked ladders, navigate the
streets and up a narrow passageway to retrieve a bird cage. They must
then return the ladder and the bird cage back to where they started.

Windows Design has teams carrying 3 mannequins to a store front where
they must recreate a scene from a photograph.

I think the legs in Viet Nam were some of the most physically demanding I can
recall. And it was undoubtably very hot and humid. Yikes.

I went and looked up the weather for the Vietnam legs. I couldn't find data for Hanoi, but on the day of filming in Ninh Binh, it was 96 degrees with a dew point of around 80 degrees. Hot and very humid! I'm not surprised that Floyd went into heat exhaustion. I am surprised no one else did. Given the conditions, I think they should have allowed the racers to just go back and pick up whatever baskets they were short. Taking the entire load over again was too grueling. Just having to spend another 30 minutes or whatever making the 2nd trip was enough of a penalty.

Yeah summer in Vietnam, aaiiee! I'm from the prairies of central Canada
and high humidity is not that common so i'd probably flake out too.
