Matt/Redmond rip the clue first at 11:57 p.m. It told them to fly to
Seoul, South Korea. Once there, they’d receive their next clue from a
K-Pop group in the Gangnam District.

All subsequent teams are on the same flight.

Upon arriving at the airport Matt/Redmond take the subway while all
others take cabs.

While at first taking the train seemed to be the better idea with rush
hour starting, Matt/Redmond missed their connecting train to the Gangnam
District.

Tara/Joey arrived first at the Gangnam District and they got their clue
from some dancers that told them to go to Hanyang University Olympic Gym.

Brooke/Scott and London/Logan are right behind them.

Arriving at the Olympic Gym, Tara/Joey and Brooke/Scott find today's
first Roadblock, "Who Stacks Up?"

In this Roadblock a team member must stack and de-stack a number of
plastic cups.

The gym is full of kids who can do this in under 3 seconds but to get
their next clue team members need only do this in 7 seconds or less.

Matt/Redmond arrive at Gangnam District and have that horrible feeling
they might be last.

Brooke finishes off the Roadblock first and she and Scott are off to
Mugyewon Arts & Cultural Center where they must make six servings of a
traditional Korean meal called kimchi which is put in a jar and buried
in earth to ferment.

In additional to properly mixing the ingredients, teams must place them
over each leaf of a cabbage.

Brooke who has been in a pretty good mood this ep tells Scott to keep
quiet as to not reveal any secrets to Tara/Joey who have now arrived.
London/Logan are just behind them.

The cooking instructor does not start her demonstration over when new
teams arrive so they must wait for her to finish off what she is doing
before starting over.

Despite this delay and coming behind Brooke/Scott, Tara/Joey actually
get their servings approved first and are off to Seoul's OGN E-Stadium
where they must compete in a head to head video game of Street Fighter V
in another Roadblock called “Who’s ready to take control?” The clue
added that whoever didn’t perform the previous Roadblock had to do this one.

London/Logan and Brooke/Scott bury their kimchi meals and are also on
their way.

It's pretty obvious that in this Roadblock the only way a team member is
going to beat a video game champion is to wait until the later rounds
when their opponents play with one hand and are blindfolded and that's
exactly the way it 'played' out.

After over 20+ rounds London beats her competitor first and she and
Logan are off to the Pit Stop, the roof of Gavit Some on the islands of
Sevit Some.

Scott won just as quickly but Tara continues to struggle.

Matt/Redmond arrive at the kimchi challenge and discover they are still
way behind the others.

A cab race to the Pit Stop and a run to the roof gives Brooke/Scott
their first leg win and they are told they are one of three teams with a
chance to win 1 million dollars. London/Logan come in second.

Matt/Redmond arrive at the video game Roadblock and realize they are
still in it. Unfortunately for them Tara finally beats her blind
opponent and they are off to the Pit Stop.

No editing here is going to prevent Tara/Joey from coming in third and
Matt/Redmond, the strongest team in the race have been eliminated.

First a thank-you to Frosty for the nice recaps this season!

I thought the design of this episode made for boring television. All three major activities involved the contestants stationary doing something with their hands: cooking, stacking cups and pounding on a game controller. And as happened before a team was eliminated because of the actions of a taxi driver. Let's hope the final is more interesting,
