Change In Plans - Amazing Race Returns March 30th - Thursdays at 10 PM

With the death of Bill Paxton and the apparent end of the show Training Day, CBS has decided to move the remaining episodes of Training Day to Saturday and The Amazing Race into Training Day's Thursday night 10PM time slot. I'm happy to see TAR move to Thursday but I'm not sure how being on 10 PM will affect the ratings. CBS has 2 hours of sitcoms including Big Bang Theory and Mom on Thursdays and that should be a good lead in for TAR. Also, the premier will now be 1 hour, so that suggests that the planned 2 hour premier was going to be the first two episodes.

In other news, the likelihood of a writer's strike in Hollywood may be good for TAR since CBS will need programs that aren't being scripted by writers.

So it's about three weeks earlire than the previous start date? That's
good, I didn't want it running into summer by too much. Come May, I'm
usually tired of tv, and being outside is a distraction in itself.

I find I'm less inclinded to watch tv that starts at 10pm, but I'm not
sure if that's the time, or simply that lesser programs tend to be
run then. But that won't stop me from watching this show.
