There are two hours of episodes this week, starting one hour earlier...just in case you
need to know. That's what my TVG says, anyway.

Yes, I noticed it too. And Survivor is doing the same thing.

So I have to remember that I don't have till 10pm before I need to watch
TV on Thursday.

And I guess this explains how they can have such a late start, and finish
the show off on June 1st.

Yippee skippee, Shamir and Sara are gone. He was such a whiney loser in that
building challenge earlier, and for some reason, the editors gave us more of their
disputes than views of them getting along. Still, buh-bye.

I was really worried about Michael and Liz, my favorites. I fault them both for not
listening to each other and being stubborn...still, Liz was really dense when she
insisted that her "magic paper" could point to the north, even if she was right in that
instance, a real coincidence, about where the building was. I am glad it was not an elimination
leg, whew! I hope they can move back up to the front next leg.

What did you think?

Anyone who doesn't understand that a piece of paper isn't a compass
isn't good TAR material.

Lol, Frosty, yes, it was great TV. I guess some of the producers' editing is
o.k. with me and some is not. I am nothing if not inconsistent. ;-))

I couldn't help but think what if two people with these magical pieces
of paper aimed them in different directions. Does the world end as it
tries to make North appear to be in different locations?

Shawn, funny you should mention the position of the magic paper. Did you know there is a
reasonably obscure movement afoot to start making maps and globes with the South Pole at
the "top," and the North Pole at the "bottom?" According to the group protesting always
showing the Southern Hemisphere at the bottom of the world, there is no reason for that
Hemisphere to be always on the bottom. Good luck to them, is all I can say. They will likely
have as much success in turning depictions of the world what we think of as upside down,
as the people who keep trying to get the U.S. to use the metric system. Lol.

I think Liz wasn't thinking about compass directions at all, and when
she said 'North' she meant 'aligned with the top of the map', because
she seemed to be basing that on visible reference points. Her utter
failure was in failing to communicate her reasoning to her teammate
(which is, really, a pretty common problem).
