The confinement device is not called a 'stockade'. It's not really
even 'stocks', technically, it's a pillory.

Yeah. I've seen them called "stocks" multiple times but a stockade is
for containing animals!

Yeah. I've seen them called "stocks" multiple times but a stockade is
for containing animals!
A stockade is also a military prison. I think Phil referred to the area as a stockade.
